This fall, the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library continues with our schedule of progressive monthly computer classes, returning to the start with Beginner level classes in October 2017. All of our October classes are aimed at the Beginner level, to be followed by Intermediate level classes in November, and Advanced level classes in December. In addition to Beginner classes on ever-popular Microsoft Word and Excel, our October schedule also features Computer ABC’s, a class to get you started on the “how to” basics of computers. Computer ABC's - Tuesday, October 3, 6:30-8:00 PM Learn the very basics of computers, from what everything is, to how to turn it on, restart it, and shut it down.

Internet Basics - Tuesday, October 17, 6:30-8:00 PM Take the first steps onto the Internet. Topics include: the difference between the Internet and the Web; searching for things; narrowing searches; and interesting places on the Internet.

Beginner Word - Thursday, October 19, 6:30-8:00 PM This is a class for those with little to no experience with Word. You will learn how to create and save documents, how to edit saved documents, how to change your font and text size, and basic formatting.

Beginner Excel - Tuesday, October 24, 6:30-8:00 PM This is a class for those who have little to no experience with Excel. You will learn how Excel works and how to enter data, along with some easy functions, the difference between numbers and text, and some terms related to Excel.

Managing Documents - Thursday, October 26, 6:30-8:00 PM Do you need help managing your files? Come learn how to make your life easier with a little organization on your computer.
