Floyd County Vote Centers
Floyd County Indiana has adopted the Vote Center Concept. The Vote Center concept allows the voter to have more flexibility in where they vote. Under the precinct elections the voter was required to go to their assigned polling site. In every election there are a multitude of voters at the wrong location and they then have to travel to the correct polling site; in this scenario often times the voter couldn’t get to polls before it closed or didn’t or couldn’t want to take the time to go to another location.

A vote Center concept allows the County Commissioners to designate vote center locations and the voter can stop and vote at ANY vote center. There are several early voting sites available as early as two weeks before an Election. Voters still have the option to vote absentee by mail or by Travel Board.

For additional information please contact the Floyd County Clerk's Office.
