June Computer Classes at NA-FC Library - Featuring Advanced Level Classes for June

For June 2017, the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library continues with our new schedule for monthly computer classes, this time featuring classes tailored to the Advanced level. In addition to an Advanced level class on Microsoft Excel, we are also offering make-up classes for Intermediate Word and Excel, for those who may have missed them in May. Our June schedule also features two classes that build on Microsoft Word skills: Intro to PowerPoint and Intro to Publisher. Intermediate Word Make-Up
Thursday, June 1, 6:30-8:00 PM
Here’s a second chance if you missed last month’s class. Building on the skills learned in Beginner Word, participants will delve a little deeper into the functions of Word. You will learn how to find and replace, use the thesaurus, and organize toolbars.

Intermediate Excel Make-Up
Tuesday, June 6, 6:30-8:00 PM
Here’s a second chance if you missed this class last month. Build on the skills you learned in Beginner Excel. You will learn how to do calculations, execute row and column management, and format cells, as well as using graphs and charts.

Building a Website
Thursday, June 8, 6:30-8:00 PM
Are you interested in learning how to build your own website? Come to class and learn some tips and tricks from instructor Roy Chilton.

Bring Your Own Device
Saturday, June 10, 10:00 AM - NOON
If you have a new device and have questions about it, come to class and have our instructor help you answer them.

Advanced Excel

This class is for those who have proficient skills with Excel and just want to fine-tune their usage.

Intro to PowerPoint
Thursday, June 15, 6:30-8:00 PM
Build on the skills you learned in Beginner and Intermediate Word by using PowerPoint to create slideshows. You will learn how to customize your slides and include graphics and animation.

Intro to Publisher
Tuesday, June 20, 6:30-8:00 PM
This class also builds on your experience with Microsoft Word. You will learn what Microsoft Publisher is all about and what it is best used for.

Going Digital at the Library
Thursday, June 22, 6:30-8:00 PM
Are you interested in checking out the digital resources that the Library offers? If so, come to class and learn where you go to check out digital titles and what is needed to do so. Feel free to bring your devices (tablets, readers, etc.).

Open Lab
Tuesday, June 27, 6:30-8:00 PM
This is an opportunity to come in with any basic questions about technology.
